Assist Travel & Transport
Overview
Freedom to move, confidence to explore.
Getting around should never be a barrier to living a full and connected life. Our Assist-Travel and Transport service provides reliable, person-centred transport support for NDIS participants across Victoria. Whether you need a lift to a medical appointment, help running errands, or support to learn public transport skills, we are here to help you move with confidence.
We understand that every participant has unique mobility needs, comfort levels, and scheduling requirements. That is why we tailor every trip to your preferences -- from the type of vehicle to the communication style of your support worker. Our goal is simple: get you where you need to go, safely and with a smile.
All our support workers hold valid Victorian driver's licenses, comprehensive insurance, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, and current First Aid certifications. Every vehicle in our fleet is regularly maintained, fully insured, and fitted with safety equipment to give you and your family complete peace of mind on every journey.
What We Cover
Every journey, every destination.
From essential healthcare visits to meaningful community connections, we support the trips that matter most to you.
Book a tripMedical appointments
Reliable transport to and from doctors, specialists, hospital visits, allied health sessions, and pharmacy pick-ups across Melbourne and Victoria. We ensure you arrive on time and stress-free, with door-to-door assistance and flexible scheduling for recurring treatments like dialysis, chemotherapy, or physiotherapy. Our support workers can accompany you into appointments to take notes, ask questions, and advocate on your behalf with healthcare providers.
Shopping & errands
Support with grocery shopping, clothing purchases, and everyday errands so you can maintain your household independently and with dignity. We help you create shopping lists, compare prices across stores, and stick to your budget while ensuring you have everything you need for the week ahead. Our support workers can also assist with returns, exchanges, and online ordering for items not available locally.
Social outings
We accompany you to catch-ups with friends, family gatherings, community events, and recreational activities so you stay connected to the people who matter. Social participation is a key NDIS goal, and our transport support makes it possible regardless of your mobility level or confidence with independent travel. We can stay with you during events or provide drop-off and pick-up depending on your preference and comfort.
Work & study
Transport support for employment shifts, TAFE courses, university classes, training programs, and volunteer commitments so you can pursue your ambitions without worrying about how to get there. We work around your schedule, including early morning starts and late finishes, and can provide regular weekly transport that aligns with your work or study timetable. Reliable transport is often the key to maintaining employment and achieving NDIS employment goals.
Community access
Getting to libraries, parks, gyms, places of worship, and local community centres so you can participate fully in community life. Regular community access reduces social isolation, improves mental health, and builds natural support networks that extend beyond formal disability services. We encourage participants to explore new activities and venues, supporting greater community connection and belonging over time.
Travel training
We teach you how to use public transport independently -- reading timetables, using Myki, navigating routes, and building confidence for solo travel. Our travel training program is tailored to your pace and specific transport needs, starting with short accompanied trips and gradually reducing support as your confidence grows. This is a Capacity Building support under the NDIS that develops lifelong skills for greater freedom and choice in how you get around.
Airport transfers
Stress-free transport to and from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) and Avalon Airport for holidays, family visits, or interstate medical appointments. We help with luggage and check-in if needed, and can arrange meet-and-greet assistance at both departure and arrival terminals. Our airport transfer service includes real-time flight tracking so we adjust pick-up times if your flight is delayed or arrives early.
Group outings
Organised group transport for social clubs, day trips, and community events. We coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs so groups can travel together safely and enjoyably, with vehicles sized to accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, and mobility aids. Group transport is ideal for NDIS participants who enjoy social connections but prefer not to travel alone, and it helps reduce per-person transport costs through shared bookings.
Pharmacy & prescriptions
We collect medications, medical supplies, and prescription refills so you never miss a dose. We can also accompany you to pharmacy consultations for advice on new medications and help you set up medication reminder systems. This service is particularly valuable for participants managing complex medication regimes, ensuring timely access to prescriptions without the stress of navigating busy pharmacies independently.
NDIS plan transport
We help you understand and use your NDIS transport budget effectively, including CORE transport funding and CB Daily Activity transport supports under the Capacity Building budget. We provide clear claiming documentation with correct support item numbers and can advise on whether your transport needs are best covered under CORE, CB Daily Activity, or other budget categories. Our team stays up to date with NDIS price guides and transport arrangements so your funding goes further.
